我们要重视良好的学习习惯的培养
（1）英语不是我们的母语，除了英语课没什么机会接触英语，没有很好的环境。在家里有必要让孩子多听听录音，多看看英语碟子，反反复复。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、跟着说。
（2）让孩子大声说英语。家长要每天留出20分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，背背英语，不管当天有无英语课，有无作业。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，上学期我听同事说她儿子以前英语学得不怎么样，到了初中以后，每天都坚持读，背英语半小时，从来不间断过，后来由他最吃力的一科转变成了他最棒的一科，总分是150分，高考他考了140多分。
有些学生自控能力特差，注意力很不集中，很容易开小差，老师讲的知识根本没听，老师反反复复教课文，有些同学嘴里含了金子一样，根本不张嘴不读，所以效果也不太好。在家里不管你们多忙，请你们也抽出一点点时间督促一下孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该背的背，该默的默，该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成良好的习惯。作业麻烦你们一定签上字，我们这样做的目的并不想增加你们的麻烦，而是在让你们随时了解你的小孩在学校上是否认真，认不认真翻翻孩子的书，练习册，本子，很容易就知道了。有些同学学习态度不端正，他们非常聪明，就是不认真，少数同学老爱欠交作业，老师吹好几遍不交，叫班干部盯住也不交。养成了爱欠交作业的坏习惯，就失去了很多巩固知识的机会，对今后的学习肯定是非常不利的。有了家长们的督促，也许他们欠交作业的可能性会少许多。翻翻书，书上白白的，看出听课肯定不认真，老师讲到重要的都会写出来，反复提醒他们记笔记，可有些同学不动笔偷懒，作业质量差，乱写，或者不...
