都说兴趣是最好的老师，在初学英语阶段，由于小学生的意识还处于感性阶段，老师会千方百计地在课堂上激发培养小学生的学习兴趣，如通过做游戏、唱儿歌、画图画等小学生喜闻乐见的形式来调动学习热情和积极性，让小学生明白学习英语是件很有趣的事情。
但如果我们能把这个学习兴趣延续保持下去，最好的方法就是多结合生活实际，学会运用英语，如去别人家里会想起用英语来问好，去一些公共场所如饭店、银行看见china、bank、tax、bus stop，会知道是什么意思，老师是否教过，自己是否记得。还有在某个场景比如商店里教室里或者同学家里发生的某件事情是否跟我们学过的课文有些相似，如果能回想起来直接运用最好，不能回想的回家再翻翻书看看课本又记住了。

任何事情只要养成习惯就会伴随你，好的学习习惯对于学生的作用不言而喻。在小学，学习英语应养成以下几种良好的习惯：
1、倾听的习惯。
众所周知，语言的习得重要的是语言环境，但我们国家的母语是汉语，不可能接受自然的英语熏陶，因此，只有人为的创造语言环境、强化训练、增加接触英语的时间，借以扩大语言的输入量。听读的时间可安排在早晨，一边洗漱一边听，午饭、晚饭前甚至晚上入睡前的零散时间，都是听读英语的好时机，听读的内容对于初学者来将讲应以书本内容为主，可以预习新知识，也可以复习巩固。此外，为了帮助学生早日养成这个习惯，学生的听读作业，教师应要求家长签字，同时对于认真完成这项作业的同学，教师应及时表扬、鼓励，形成良好的导向。当然，随着学生年龄的增长，听读的时间可以延长、内容也不局限于课本，现在电视中有很多的固定少儿英语节目，家长、教师可以恰当选择，也可以通过观看水平适当的英语光盘，那些妙趣横生的卡通形象和情节，很容易被孩子们接受，更能调动他们的视、听、说等多种感官，使他们在快乐中学习知识。
2、养成规范书写的习惯。
这一环节也必须从入门阶段抓起。小学生初写英语时，问题主要集中在26个字母的规范书写。其实，这些字母对于学生来讲并不陌生，他们与汉语拼音极其相似，拼音的书写学生大都早已掌握，因此我们可以利用汉语拼音的正迁移作用，这样告诉学生：我们学过的汉语拼音都是双胞胎，它们的兄弟姐妹生长在国外，它们的长相大多数一模一样，只有五对稍有区别，然后重点讲解字母f、i、j、k、q在书写上与汉语拼音的区别，这样一来学生很快就能准确掌握所有小写字母的书写了。此外，随着学...
